BIO BIOGRAPHY I am a multidisciplinary design leader specializing in sports product innovation, performance apparel, equipment, accessories, and future-focused concept design. My work sits at the intersection of craft, culture, technology, and storytelling—transforming athlete insights, consumer needs, and emerging cultural shifts into meaningful product experiences. Currently, as Senior Global Concept Designer at The North Face, I help shape the future of outdoor exploration by developing visionary concepts, seasonal narratives, and innovation strategies across Apparel, Equipment, Accessories, and Footwear. I collaborate closely with creative leadership, athletes, researchers, and cross-functional design teams to identify opportunities, build compelling product stories, and create concepts that inspire exploration and advance performance. My background spans The North Face, Nike, Refinery29, Ralph Lauren, and Restoration Hardware, over two decades of work across global brands, startups, and consulting engagements. This breadth of experience across apparel design, creative direction, product innovation, editorial, and brand building informs a holistic approach to design—one that connects strategy, product, and culture to create impactful experiences. In addition I hold an M.S. in Sports Product Design from the University of Oregon. Building design experience though a sports specific lens, incorperating human anatomy and biometrics for athletes spanning Apparel, Footwear, and Equipment and Accessories. This level of knowledge provided proficiency across emerging technologies, including AI-assisted workflows and 3D visualization, to bring future-focused ideas to life. WORK THE NORTH FACE The TNF Concept Team creates seasonal design direction across apparel, equipment and accessories, and footwear 2+ years prior to product deliveries seasonally; S/S and F/AW. The design process begins by collecting macro trends, sport insights, and fashion trends. We partner with our Creative Director, Marketing Directors, Design Directors, and Consumer insights Teams to align priorities and begin to build out specific concepts/stories. We then pull in cross functional designers across all departments to help build out color, print, graphics, into digital and physical assets along with a physical rig space (refer to final images below). These narratives are presented through a Creative Kick off to the collective brand in in person presentations and digital assets (for partners not able to attend) that inform global design teams and serve as design parameters for merchandising, design, and the brand collectively. The below work concepts I owned starting with Fall/Winter 2026 GLOBAL CONCEPT PERFORMANCE DESIGNER 2024 - PRESENT GLOBAL CONCEPT PERFORMANCE DESIGN As part of the Performance Design Team I drove the following product categories, including, Hike, Trail Run, Class V, and Active product. INTERCONNECTED ESCAPE, THE NORTH FACE; WOMENS HIKE INTERVIEW PROJECT The future of adventure - a dimension redefined as we explore wilderness trails in the physical and virtual worlds. Multi-sensory immersions converge, and consumers' style value shifts to versatile garments offering functionality necessary for adventures online and offline. INTERCONNECTED ESCAPE TECH PACK SN0 DRY SLOPE SNOWBOARDING APPAREL The inspiration for this Capstone collection started with Copenhill. This rooftop ski slope made from recycled plastic is a realistic solution for the climate change challenges facing the ski industry. These plastic slopes can be utilized year-round and implementation across the globe is imminent. The possibility for year-round snowsports creates a new market segment opportunity for off-season mountain apparel that offers protection from sun, rain, and falls while catering to thermoregulation needs in off-season snowboarding conditions. The below slides are the culmination of this year-long design project, including research, athlete testing, design ideation, development, and final testing. The Plastron Commuter Cape provides cyclists with the highest level of rain protection, convenience, and safety (for both riders and those they share the road with). Additionally, the wearability and style transition effortlessly from transportation to social situations. PLASTRON COMMUTER CAPE PLASTRON, COMMUTER CAPE DIK-KID, ACCESSORIES FOR HEALTHY AGING THERMOREGULATION The Dik-Kid provides thermoregulation support in cold weather climate conditions that caters to the needs of the aging population. DIK-KID JOKKOMOKK, ICE ULTRA MARATHON FOOTWEAR The Jokkmokk is a unisex snowshoe-specific footwear solution for ultramarathon athletes that provides proper thermoregulation, mobility, and an efficient entry and exit system. JOKKMOKK OUTSOLE TRACTION CATCH, OUTSOLE TRACTION SYSTEM Catch is a fully redesigned traction outsole pattern specific to tennis played on hard court surfaces supported by plantar pressure distribution in tennis-related movement research.
